The central challenge from the planning and technical perspectives was the integration of the planned extension in the narrow and steep area behind the existing Hotel Klausnerhof, which required a 25 m high mountain-side slope reinforcement. The reward for this unconventional approach was the generation of a high quality space with a magnificent panoramic view for the "wellness" area, which has roof gardens on 3 storeys, as well as an entrance area, dining area, and 31 new guest rooms and suites.
